The expenses of starting a mobile manufacturing business in India include a variety of sub-costs, and the reality that it is quickly becoming a mobile manufacturing centre indicates that the comparative prices are minimal. The company establishes a manufacturing unit in a location where labour costs are low, not only in terms of labour expenses but also in terms of if the workers have the requisite qualifications to be the manpower behind the mobile phone. The location must also be close to the desired market so that transportation costs do not eat into the profit margin. To compete effectively in the market, cell phone makers must keep per-unit production costs as minimal as possible (about $100 per phone). A large percentage of the cost is covered by the LCD, keypad, antenna, battery, microphone, and circuit board.
